Powering Buxar: Railways' ₹1,000 Crore Coal Corridor

Indian Railways has announced a ₹1,000 crore rail project to enhance coal transportation to the Chausa Thermal Power Plant in Buxar, Bihar. Designed to relieve heavy congestion on the Buxar–Deen Dayal Upadhyaya (DDU) section, the initiative features a new six-line crossing station at Pavni-Kamarpur and a dedicated rail-over-rail (ROR) flyover. The dedicated corridor will streamline freight movement and guarantee efficient fuel supply for the power plant.
